Dr.Sumanth Raman has been involved with Television Quizzes for well over two decades. Over the years his quizzes have been aired on several Television channels.

An early quiz on television was the Madras Quiz which was a quiz show about the city. It aired on Doordarshan in the nineties. This quiz was well received as the format was a live quiz that was innovative.

All out for no loss,a live Cricket quiz show on Vijay TV also proved to be popular in the year 2000-01.

However it was the BSNL Sports Quiz that started airing from June 2002 that established Dr.Raman's reputation as a popular Quiz Master on Television. The BSNL Sports Quiz now features in the Limca Book of Records for being the longest running Television Quiz program on Indian Television. The program completed its 800th episode in September 2017. The show has constantly strived to be innovative, being among the first Quiz shows on Indian Television to introduce LIVE SMS and E-mail participation and more recently LIVE viewer participation through Skype.

Since then there have been several General Knowledge and Specialty Quizzes hosted by Dr.Raman that have aired on various Television channels in India.
